ويقال انها تأسست عام 1616 م عندما تأسست جمعية الصليب الوردي
ويقال انها ظهرت ف القرن الثامن بعد الميلاد اثناء حكم اليونان
ويقال انها بدات بعد بناء هيكل سليمان
وهناك اقوال اخرى ب انها ترجع ف نشأتها الى الكهنة المصرية والهندية
واقل الاقوال رجاحة انها بدأت ف الجنة
واكثر الاقوال رجاحة بأنها بدات ف عهد الملك هيرودس الثاني من عام 37 م -44م
وان اصولها ترجع الى نبي الله داوود وانها جزء من حضارة بابل بالعراق
